March 23 Update

| March 23, 2020

Governor Wolf has announced that all schools will remain closed through at least April 6 as a result of the COVID-19 response efforts. The closure order could be extended beyond April 6 if determined by the Governor.

Solanco teachers at all levels have been working together developing alternative plans for instructional delivery.  They are collaborating on lesson design, activity creation, and modes of delivery.  While there are significant challenges to develop instructional plans that meet the online access differences and varied learning needs of all Solanco students, we intend to implement these programs soon.

Please be sure to attend to email and district social media accounts as these plans develop.

While we certainly miss all of our students, we are also working to make sure they are engaged while at home.

It will take flexibility, patience, and teamwork to make these efforts a success.

Further, the district is continuing its programs to address food scarcity and support for those most in need in the Solanco community.  Many agencies, organizations, local leaders, and community members are working hard to meet these growing needs.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.

We hope all families are healthy during this trying time.
