Logan Wagner and Olivia Lasko will golf in districts

| October 2, 2019

Two Solanco golfers will play in districts following their strong, qualifying performances in the Lancaster-Lebanon League Tournament. Logan Wagner and Olivia Lasko will tee it up in the district tournament Friday and Saturday (October 4 and 5) at Briarwood in York County.

In the Lancaster-Lebanon League Tournament, “Logan continued his steady play, shooting 79 which was slightly over his season average of 78.2,” Solanco Golf Coach Greg Minnich said. “He started on the second hole and was at one under par through his first eight holes. He struggled a bit on the back nine shooting 46, but ended his round with a birdie 3 on the first hole.  His score of 33 on the front nine was bested only by the tournament winner.  Logan will learn from his back 9 and be prepared for district’s, his score of 79 placed him tied for 10th and an awesome showing for a freshmen.”

Coach Minnich was also proud of Olivia Lasko’s play in the L-L Tournament. “Olivia saved her best round of the year for the league tournament, her score of 100 was four better than her best score and almost nine strokes better than her average.  Her round included three pars but she also had three holes where she had 10, 9 and 9 or she would have easily been under 100.  As a sophomore she will be making her first trip to districts as the girls needed to shoot 104 or better to qualify.”
