Purchasing a shopping bag at GIANT supports Solanco students

SEF - Giant bag promotionWEB2In September, shoppers at GIANT in Quarryville who purchase a GIANT reusable shopping bag will be providing valuable financial support for Solanco students and teachers. GIANT has selected the Solanco Education Foundation (SEF) as the  beneficiary of the GIANT Bags 4 My Cause Program for the month of September.

SEF will receive a $1 donation every time a $2.50 reusable Bags 4 My Cause bag is purchased at Towns Edge Shopping Center in Quarryville during September. The GIANT Bags 4 My Cause Program is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference  in the communities where shoppers live and work.

“We’re pleased to be chosen as a beneficiary of the program,” said Tom Brackbill, President of the Solanco Education Foundation. “Community support like the GIANT Bag program enables the SEF to provide college scholarships to graduating Solanco seniors, teacher venture grants, and enhanced educational opportunities for all Solanco Students.”

Just prior to Solanco graduation in June, 11 members of the Solanco Class of 2019 each received a $1,000 scholarship from the Solanco Education Foundation to continue their education beyond high school.
