September is Attendance Awareness Month

| September 6, 2019

Bart-Colerain - First Day1WEBConsistent, sustained attendance is critically important to the success of children in school. In fact, research shows that by 9th grade, attendance is a better predictor of a student’s likelihood to graduate than their previous years test scores!
September is Attendance Awareness Month in the Solanco School District.
Improving and maintaining good attendance among all students is the main goal of Solanco’s Truancy Prevention Plan, which was developed by Solanco administrators, parents, law enforcement, social service agencies, clergy, and others in our community. A comprehensive list of community organizations and other resources that provide valuable support for Solanco families is posted on the Solanco website. They include contact information for community food and clothing providers, school counseling, and mental health and other supportive services.
