Rebecca Foulk nominated to attend elite national medical conference

Rebecca Foulk - medical congressWEBSolanco High School freshman Rebecca Foulk is receiving national recognition for her outstanding academic achievement, leadership skills and determination to serve humanity through a career in the field of medicine. Rebecca has earned a prestigious nomination to be a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Lowell, Massachusetts, June 23-25.

A news release from the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists states that during the three-day congress, Rebecca and other top students from across the United States will “hear Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science winners talk about leading medical research.” The students will also learn about cutting-edge advances in medical technology,  they will speak with deans from Ivy League and top medical schools about what to expect in medical school, and they will hear from patients who are
living “medical miracles.” Rebecca was nominated by Dr. Dr. Mario Capecchi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in Medicine and the Science Director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists.

“This is a crucial time in America when we need more doctors and medical scientists who are even better prepared for a future that is changing exponentially,” according to Richard Rossi, Executive Director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists. “Focused, bright and determined students like Rebecca Foulk are our future and she deserves all the mentoring and guidance we can give her.”

Rebecca is the daughter of Justin and Julianna Foulk of New Providence.
