Strong public support for students, teachers and education in Solanco

| January 4, 2019

The Solanco Education Foundation (SEF) expresses its sincere appreciation to the following businesses, foundations and individuals that have provided recent, generous contributions to the SEF:

* Lafayette Ambassador Bank, on behalf of Fulton Bank
* Eschbach Bus Service
* UMPC Health Plan

These businesses   have donated to the SEF through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program that provides them with significant tax reductions for their contributions.

In addition, important donations have also been provided by Rob Allen at Lancaster Toyota Mazda Scion through the Allen Family Foundation (a fund of the PA Automotive Association Foundation), and Howard and Diane Groff.

The donations fund scholarships for college-bound Solanco seniors, academic venture grants for teachers, and enhanced educational opportunities for Solanco students of all ages. Examples include the Interactive Mobile Science Probeware program at the high school, kindergarten preparation and early literacy materials for Solanco’s youngest students and their parents, and the middle school STEM program (science, technology, engineering and math).
