New entrance for Swift Middle and Clermont Elementary

| December 21, 2018

There is a new entrance for students, parents and visitors to use when entering Swift Middle and Clermont Elementary schools.

Because of the on-going construction project at both Swift and Clermont, the school entrance that has been previously used has been closed. Students who are driven to school and picked up by their parents, and visitors, still enter at the front of the schools; however, the new entrance is a little farther south than the entrance that had been in use. The new entrance is at the main entrance for Clermont, which is the entrance closest to the flag pole at Clermont.

Parents picking up and dropping off their children, and school visitors, will park in the same location that they have been using. Swift Middle School Principal Paul Gladfelter said signs are posted that direct students and visitors to the new entrance for Swift and Clermont. An additional sidewalk has been added to accommodate students and visitors as they enter and exit Swift and Clermont. For safety purposes, it is important for everyone to use the crosswalk to access the sidewalk; do not walk between waiting vehicles.
