Students learn about potential careers in manufacturing

MFG DayWEBThirty Solanco 9th and 10th grade students¬†participated in Manufacturing Day, a nationwide educational event in which manufacturing companies hosted high school students to increase their awareness and understanding of manufacturing jobs and the availability of manufacturing jobs. “We visited FlexCell and ERC (Environmental Recovery Corporation) in Lancaster City,” said Katie Schick, PCAC College Advisor at Solanco High School. “At FlexCell,¬†students got to see how medical equipment is made, and at ERC they learned about waste management, truck driving, and making large machinery use to carry and facilitate waste.”
