Minor delays possible first week of school. Parents of elementary students are reminded thatbuses in the afternoons could arrive at the
bus stops a little later than scheduled. Extra time and effort will be taken to ensure that all students  have gotten on their correct bus, which may delay when the buses leave the schools in the
afternoons. The delays would only occur during the first several days of school, and during the first several days following the Labor Day holiday.

Kindergarten bus stops. A parent or guardian must be at the bus stop when the bus arrives after school to drop off kindergarten students. In accordance with Pennsylvania state law,  kindergarten students will not be dropped off without a parent or guardian at the assigned bus stop. Instead, the student would be returned to the school at the end of the run and  parents/guardians are responsible to pick up the student at the school in a timely manner.

School times. The school day at Solanco High School is 7:42 a.m. to 2:44 p.m., at the middle schools it’s 7:45 to 2:59, while the elementary school day is 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Labor Day. As a reminder, students will be in school Monday through Thursday (Aug. 27 – August 30). Schools will be closed Friday, August 31, and Monday, September 3, for the Labor Day holiday weekend.  The Solanco School District hopes everyone has had an enjoyable summer, and we’re looking forward to an exciting and successful school year!
