New traffic flow during construction at Swift and Clermont

Swift - CL construction parkingWEBThe construction project now underway at Swift Middle School and Clermont Elementary, which includes construction of a new parking lot in front of the schools, will change how parents drop-off and/or pick up their students in the upcoming school year.

While buses will drop-off and pick-up students behind the schools, parents who drive their children to and from school will drop-off and pick-up in front of the schools. Parents will be required to enter and exit the campus from Robert Fulton Highway by using the southern-most entrance nearest Clermont Elementary School. The northern entrance to the campus, nearest Swift Middle School, will be closed to parents; for safety purposes it will only be used only by buses, construction vehicles, and delivery vehicles.

As parents enter the campus via the entrance near Clermont, signs and personnel will direct parents to a location in front of the schools where they will make a U-turn, drop-off or pick-up their students, and then exit back onto Robert Fulton Highway.

Swift students, Clermont students, and visitors to either school will be required to use the entrance to Clermont at the front of the school. The entrance to Swift will be closed because of construction.

The construction project at Swift includes a more secure entrance, a new office, new auditorium, new computer lab, new band room, and new large group instruction (LGI) room. At Clermont, a more secure entrance and office will be built, along with new classrooms and a new gymnasium.
