Chris Zander will be the new principal at Clermont

Chris Zander1WEBAt  its June 18 meeting, the Solanco School Board will approve the hiring of Chris Zander as the new principal at Clermont Elementary School.

Zander is a Solanco resident and the father of three children who are  students at Clermont.  Currently an elementary school principal in the Manheim Township School  District, Zander’s extensive educational background also includes  principal at a sixth grade school, special education consultant, learning support teacher, fourth grade teacher, and a coach for Solanco Little League, seventh and eighth grade boys basketball, and  girls youth soccer.

“I am excited to work collaboratively with the teachers and staff at Clermont Elementary School to continue finding ways to support every student who walks through our doors,” Zander said. ”In partnership with our families and the local community, we will strive to meet the high levels of academic achievement and growth that are the hallmark of a great school.  I look forward to joining the Solanco School District and Clermont team on that journey.”

Zander earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, and dual certification in elementary and special education, at Millersville University, and a Master of Science in Teaching and Curriculum, and Principal Certification, at Pennsylvania State University, Capital Campus.

His first day on the job will be Monday, July 2.
