Solanco’s uplifting Ophelia Day

| May 11, 2018

Ophelia Day3For students, teachers and staff who participate, Ophelia Day is one of the most highly-anticipated and heart-warming days of the entire school year. Students from our elementary schools
visit the high school and ”buddy up” with high school students and together they enjoy games, fun, food and friendship.

Ophelia DayFace painting is a popular activity among the younger students. The games and events are created and manned by high school students. Some of the high school students have been a
buddy to the same elementary student for several years, and have developed lasting relationships with them. Rain shortened the time for outdoor activities during Thursday’s Ophelia Day,
yet the day was still a great success.
