Audrey Difilippo earns opportunity to compete in Skills USA Nationals

Audrey DifilippoWEBSolanco High School senior Audrey Difilippo has advanced to the Skills USA Nationals to be held June 25-29 in Louisville, Kentucky. Audrey attends the Mt. Joy campus of the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (CTC) where she studies event planning and tourism services management. Her instructor, Alison Shepler, said Audrey won first place in districts, and then first place in states (photo), while competing in customer service in Skills USA. The competitions involve a written test, a demonstration of telephone skills, and roleplay skills (an example would include calmly and effectively working with an angry customer).

Audrey currently works at the front desk at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn, and is an intern at Stylish Occasions. She plans to become a wedding planner.
