Marla Peiffer is first runner up in Miss Pennsylvania

Miss PA - After pageantWEBMarla Peiffer (center in photo), Solanco Class of 2011, put in an impressive performance and finished as first runner-up in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant in Pittsburgh! Marla, the daughter of Scott and Mary Peiffer of Quarryville, qualified for the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Pageant by winning the 2017 Miss Red Rose City crown. Marla is a graduate of Elizabethtown College and is an occupational therapist with Austill’s Rehabilitation Services, Inc.

In addition to Marla, three other talented young women also competed in this year’s Miss Pennsylvania Pageant. They are, left to right in the photo, Donna Montgomery (Solanco Class of 2015), Tiffany Shrom (Solanco Class of 2016), Marla Peiffer, and Kayla Schneider (Solanco Class of 2016). On the far right is Noelle Schneider, a junior at Solanco High School, who qualified for and competed in the Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding Young Teen Pageant.

Donna is the daughter of David and Meg Montgomery of Nottingham. Donna is Miss Keystone 2017, and a student at Temple University.

Tiffany is the daughter of Tim and Debbie Shrom of Quarryville. Tiffany is Miss White Rose City 2017, and a student at Point Park University.

Kayla is the daughter of Joel and Christine Schneider of Quarryville. Kayla is Miss Pocono 2017, and a student at Lock Haven University.

Noelle is daughter of Joel and Christine Schneider of Quarryville, and has been crowned Miss Lancaster County Outstanding Young Teen.

The entire Solanco community can be proud to be so well represented in the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant by this wonderful group of hard-working, intelligent and poised young women!
