Students stock trout

Trout stocking3aESOLJob trainer Brenda Feeney-Ott said, “Solanco High School students have learned job skills, increased their environmental awareness, and provided an important community service by assisting with local trout stockings.” The students have worked with Water Conservation Officer Jeff Schmidt to put trout in a number of streams, lakes and popular local fishing holes this spring. Before the students head out to the waterways, Officer Schmidt provides them with a Powerpoint presentation that covers safety and how students should properly carry out their trout stocking responsibilities.
