Jess Tipping - WGALWGAL TV-8 Education Reporter Anne Shannon (left) visited Solanco High School this week to interview chemistry teacher Jessica Tipping (right), who is a recipient of the prestigious 2017 WGAL TV-8 Teacher Impact Award! The award recognizes and honors teachers who make a significant, positive difference in the lives of their students.

“Jessica’s commitment to her students is rivaled only by her talent and compassion as an educator,” Solanco Superintendent Dr. Brian Bliss said. “She has made a substantial difference in the lives of her students. While we measure success one child at a time, this recognition represents the wide-ranging success Jessica has had – she has inspired many, many students and I offer her my thanks and congratulations.”

The interview with Tipping will be broadcast during upcoming newscasts on WGAL TV-8, and during the Teacher Impact Award ceremony on Monday, May 22 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel. Tipping received many nominations for the award from parents, students and Solanco community members.
