Swift - cutler aumentESOLState Representative Bryan Cutler (center, left) and State Senator Ryan Aument (center, right), both Solanco graduates, visited Swift Middle School where they enjoyed in-depth and interesting conversations with students about how bills are introduced and discussed in Harrisburg, amended, and perhaps passed and sent to the governor for signature into law. The students proposed many interesting bills of their own for discussion with the visiting lawmakers, including raising and also lowering the driving age (and longer mandatory driver training), required inspection of Amish buggies, lowering the legal working age, increasing the minimum wage, regulating solar panels (panels only on structures, no using open land space for panels), and hunting regulations, including a six point minimum for the harvest of antlered deer.
