Art - Longwood Gardens11ESOLBeautiful artwork created by talented Solanco student artists is being featured in this year’s holiday display at Longwood Gardens! The photo features the beautiful work of 10th grader Gabriel Anderson, glass – fused glass.

“After studying traditions in Asian Art and works that interpret Zen meditations (stillness, light, wonder), students designed and created unique works of art that will decorate a tree in the acclaimed Longwood Gardens Holiday Exhibit this year,” Solanco High School art teacher Sea Macleish said. “Many art materials and methods were used – multiple watercolor techniques, blown glass inks, etched acrylic plates, marbled clay tubes, handmade paper origami, colored vellum pyramids, rolled paper beading, fused collaged glass, miniature painted kites, gold leaf applique, colored pencil globes, even a giant golden lotus bloom folded in waterproof paper!”
