Community conversation about heroin abuse on October 13

| September 29, 2016

Heroin ConversationWEBSolanco community members are invited to an important public meeting about heroin abuse on Thursday, October 13 at 7 p.m. at Quarryville Elementary School. The meeting will be held by the Lancaster County Anti-Heroin Task Force, which says “Drug overdose deaths in the county have more than tripled in the past four years, in large part due to the heroin scourge which plaques every local community.”

The Lancaster County Anti-Heroin Task Force said the public forums are designed to increase the understanding of addiction (a treatable disease), encourage hope in the recovery process, provide access to resources and treatment options, and to reduce the number of heroin-related deaths.

Quarryville Elementary School is at 211 South Hess Street in Quarryville.
