Lininger has served as assistant principal at the high school for the past 21 years. During her service as assistant principal, Lininger has provided leadership on teacher training and supervision, the high school’s Student Assistance Program (SAP), the Renaissance Program to improve school climate, the Link Crew freshmen transition program, development and implementation of the district’s crisis response and management plan, and student attendance and discipline concerns.

“Stephanie has devoted her professional career to the betterment of the lives of Solanco students – she knows our students, staff, and community well,” Solanco Superintendent Dr. Brian Bliss said. “I can think of no better person to continue the work of engaging and inspiring Solanco students than Stephanie.” She graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1985 with a BSEd. in social studies. She received her principal certification from Penn State-Great Valley Campus in 1994. Before becoming assistant principal at Solanco High School in 1995, Lininger taught history at Solanco High School for 10 years.

Rick Esche is taking over the assistant principal position at the high school that had been held previously by Stephanie Lininger. Esche comes from Collegium Charter School in Exton, PA, where he has served as assistant principal, and high school health and physical education teacher. His experience also includes middle school health and physical education teacher at Mariana Bracetti Academy Charter School in Philadelphia, athletic trainer at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, and fitness coordinator at West Chester University. Esche earned a Master in Education in Multicultural Education from Eastern University, a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from West Chester University, and principal certification from Immaculata University.

Rebecca Gajecki, who most recently has served as Solanco’s instructional technology support lead teacher, is the new principal at Quarryville Elementary. Her Solanco career began in 2005 as a second grade long-term substitute teacher. Gajecki has also taught fifth grade and served as interim principal at Providence. “As the principal, I will work hard to use my experiences from the past 10 years at Solanco as an elementary teacher, instructional technology coach, and interim principal at Providence Elementary to build upon the legacy of success established at Quarryville Elementary School,” Gajecki said.

She graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and earned a Master’s Degree in Education and K-12 Principal Certificate from Cabrini College. “Through strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, staff and community partners, we will focus on fostering a nurturing, safe environment for children at Quarryville Elementary and providing exciting and challenging opportunities for all students.”
