Solanco grad and acclaimed actress Alice Renier will host a student production of Julius Caesar

| April 25, 2016

Solanco High School senior and actress Kara Richards informs us that on Friday, April 29, New York City actress and Solanco graduate Alice Renier will visit Solanco High School to host a workshop with students about William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. This is the second consecutive year that Alice has provided a Shakespeare workshop for student actors and actresses, as last summer she hosted a class on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to help promote her production of that show in Huffnagle Park last July.
This year, under the direction of Alice Renier, Solanco student thespians will provide a summer performance of Julius Caesar.
The Julius Caesar workshop will be held after school next Friday. It is free and open to anyone who has interest in theater, literature, or Shakespeare! There is a sign-up sheet at teacher Jennifer Pasko’s room 906 at the high school. For more information, email Kara Richards.
To help offset the costs involved in the workshop, props, set features and other aspects of the performance, donations can be made at the Solanco Go Fund Me page.
