The Great Book Swap at the high school

| February 25, 2016

Book Swap2The Great Book Swap is immensely popular among high school students, teachers and staff – in previous years as many as 900 books were brought in and exchanged!

Solanco High School Librarian Emily Dawley  has announced that the first segment of this year’s fourth annual Great Book Swap will be Tuesday, March 1 to Tuesday, March 8, when students, teachers and staff are asked to bring in school-appropriate, secondary level (grades 6-12) books, including fiction and non-fiction, test prep books, cookbooks and others.

For each book someone donates, they will receive a ticket that can be redeemed for a book during the swap. Each book in the swap “costs” one  ticket. The swap will begin at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9 and will continue through Monday, March 14.

On opening day in previous years, there has been a line of students waiting to get into the library to start their book shopping.
