Logo - 10-2015WEBThe Solanco Education Foundation is proud to unveil its new banner. The Foundation strongly supports the Solanco School District by providing funding for enhanced educational opportunities for students and teachers, yet the foundation is a 501 (c)3 organization that is independent from
the district.

During the past 12 years the Solanco Education Foundation (SEF) has awarded $100,000 in scholarships to Solanco students that have enabled their families to help offset the rising cost of college. In addition, through its Academic Venture Grant program and its participation in Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program, the foundation has funded innovative and important educational programs in Solanco that have provided exciting educational opportunities for thousands of students.

This year, for the first time ever, the SEF will participate in the Extraordinary Give that supports non-profit organizations like the SEF. On November 20, local residents can support Solanco students and teachers by making a donation to the SEF through the Extraordinary Give at  www.extragive.org.

In addition, The Daily Grind in Quarryville will serve as a “Giving Station” for the SEF during the Extraordinary Give on November 20.
