Students receive Solanco Expectations Awards

Four high school seniors have been honored by Superintendent Dr. Brian Bliss as this year’s recipients of the Solanco School District Expectations Awards. The awards are presented to students who best exemplify Solanco’s Core Expectations of Respect, Responsibility, Kindness and Courage. 

Responsibility: Mary White best fulfilled “Act Responsibly and take Responsibility for their actions.”

Respect: James Howell best exemplifies “Treat themselves and each other with Respect.”

Kindness:Travis Hoover best demonstrated how to “Act with Kindness when dealing with others.”

Courage: Jose Henriquez was the best role model for how to “Act with Courage every day.”

Each recipient of the Expectations Awards also received $100. The Solanco Expectations Awards are endowed by former Solanco Superintendent Dr. Martin Hudacs and his wife Nancy, a special education teacher at Swift Middle School.
