Seeking successful Solanco grads

| August 9, 2012

Solanco is in the initial stages of creating an Honor Roll of its many graduates who have been remarkably successful in their lives and in their careers. There are plenty of them. A few examples include the commander of the Pacific air fleet, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, an ESPN executive, a world-renowned harpist, a former presidential aide, and three current members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. And there are many more successful Solanco grads, and we want to hear from them (or their family and friends)!

Email Solanco Community Relations Director keith_kaufman@solancosd.org, or call him at 786-5617, with names and information about former Solanco students who have gone on to great things in the U.S. military, business, performing arts, sports, science, medicine, education, finance, journalism, philanthropy and other fields.

As the Solanco Honor Roll is developed, a committee will be created to select honorees on an annual basis who will receive permanent recognition for their achievements.

Solanco Superintendent Dr. Martin Hudacs said the Honor Roll of successful alumni “is not only an exercise in community pride, it is also a way to inspire students!”
