Smith Middle School award-winning art students

The impressive artistic talents and creativity of five Smith Middle School students have earned them Honorable Mention recognition from the Lancaster County Young Artists Awards.

Their beautiful artwork will be featured in an art exhibition at the Lancaster Museum of Art at 135 North Lime Street in Lancaster. The exhibit will open Saturday, March 7 and continue through April 12. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays (closed Mondays).

Solanco High School students have also earned a long list of awards for their remarkable artwork. They include Scholastic Art Awards Portfolio Awards, Lancaster County Young Artists Portfolio Awards, Gold and Silver Awards and Honorable Mention recognition. The award-winning high school students are Theresa Gartland, Sarah Irwin, Joshua Wolf, Ciana Malchione, Abigail Yoder, Haley Pittman, Donelle Keeport, Cassie Twyman, Ryan O’Connell, and Amanda Herr.
