High School - Pink Out 10-29WEBMany Solanco students and staff are decked out in pink on Wednesday (Oct. 29) to support the “Pink Out” at the high school and throughout the district. The “Pink Out,” sponsored by the Ophelia Club at the high school, is raising funds and awareness in the battle against breast cancer. In the photo are high school music students in Erin Brubaker’s (back row, right) class.

Fundraising is in the form of bracelets that the Ophelia Club is selling for only $2 each. Ophelia Club advisor Erin Byrnes said the club is covering the cost of the bracelets, “so every bit of the $2 selling price will go toward the fundraiser.”

If you’re at the high school today (Wed., Oct. 29) and notice any teachers or staff wearing jeans, that’s because they made a $5 Pink Out donation which earned them the opportunity to wear jeans.
