School board members honored for service to community

| January 29, 2014

School board members at Solanco, and in every school district in Pennsylvania, are volunteers. They serve students, parents, and our entire community without pay. They are responsible for very important decisions including school budgets, personnel matters, curriculum decisions, and the maintenance of school facilities.
In appreciation of school board members’┬áremarkable commitment to community and education, the Pennsylvania School Boards Association proclaims January as School Director Recognition Month.

According to Solanco Superintendent Dr. Martin Hudacs, “The Solanco community is blessed with caring, dedicated board members. The longevity of the board members, many of whom have served eight or more years, attests to their commitment to the students of the district.”
